Friday, February 25:

R. had a bad night, he thinks because of the renewed uncertainty about Vienna; he works on the score, but since he has had no reply from America, he decides not to hurry himself. He feels as he did before in his contacts with Rio de Janeiro.

A telegram from Herr Jauner settles our journey to Vienna. In the evening a tuner from America to examine the Steinway.

Don Quixote no longer gives us so much pleasure, the Countess Trifaldi boring.
