Dear Friend!
Yes! You may announce it. You will receive a letter containing the story of my symphony performed fifty years ago for the first time in the Schneiderherberge of the Euterpe in Leipzig. And at Christmas it will be performed again here for the first time in Venice, on the occasion of my wife's birthday. By the way, in France they want to edit a translation of my published essays. I find it so risky that I can view it only as the foolhardy enterprise of some enthusiastic friends. If they want to risk this, they may do it. I for one make no terms, and I think you won't either.
Best regards,
Richard Wagner
