Sunday, April 29:

Packing and disposing! Apprehensive departure; after saying goodbye to the children, left on Monday the 30th at 6 a.m. with the mail train. At 1 o’clock in Würzburg, where we asked the good Ritters to ride with us as far as Aschaffenburg. Welcomed in Mainz by M. Maier; in Cologne our good Lesimple managed to get us a sleeping compartment, in which we then got some quite tolerable rest.
