General departure of our friends, in wet weather. R. unfortunately not at all well. We talk little, sit together reading, just so that he may rest.

Their guests depart in damp weather, leaving a quieter atmosphere and giving R. a chance to rest. He is not well, so the day is spent mostly in reading together and speaking as little as possible.
