Overview

The quick sale of seats pleased Feustel, and R. responded by gathering a lively lunch table with Feustel, Gross, Nietzsche, the Dannreuthers, and others. The first act of “Götterdämmerung” was heard with the children and Princess Barjatinsky, followed by supper with the children.

Monday, July 24:

All seats are said to have been sold within half an hour, which delights friend Feustel! R. has the good idea of inviting Feustel, Gross, etc., to lunch. Prof. Nietzsche has also arrived, and the Dannreuthers and several others.

First act of Götterdämmerung; Princess Barjatinsky, Mimi, and I in the princes’ gallery, the children with us. In the evening supper with the children.
