Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of November 23, 1875

Overview

The day was quieter, giving everyone a chance to breathe. Marie Hohenlohe wrote R. a gracious letter firmly denying the remark about the costume, and in the evening Semper and Prince Liechtenstein dined with us, leaving R. in excellent spirits and the prince especially congenial company.

Content

Tuesday, November 23:

A day of rest for everybody. Marie Hohenlohe writes nicely to R.; she completely denies having made that remark about the costume. R. replies to her pleasantly.

In the evening Semper and Prince Liechtenstein dine with us. R. is very cheerful, the Prince highly congenial. Semper rather tired.
