Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of June 27, 1875

Overview

Sunday passed quietly with children’s play, correspondence, and the usual round of letters for both of us. The visit from Prof. Hey and Unger’s strong singing of the Forging Songs gave the gathering a hopeful tone, suggesting that the studies may be taking shape.

Content

Sunday, June 27:

Children's games and for me correspondence, both morning and afternoon; R. also has much correspondence. Prof. Hey from Munich to take part in Herr Unger's studies.

The latter sings the “Forging Songs” before our quite numerous Sunday gathering in a way that gives grounds for hope.
