Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of June 10, 1873

Overview

She resumes her early care of the children while the household is crowded with small annoyances, missed messages, and obligations to entertain guests. The heat and R.’s ill health deepen a feeling that the home itself is becoming strange and unreal. Practical concerns and bureaucratic pettiness weigh on the day more than any private comfort.
