Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of March 29, 1872

Overview

Good Friday brings unusually soft, warm weather and memories of the solemn walk R. and she took six years earlier to the GriitU. Lulu is ill, so she keeps the child in bed while R. goes out with Professor Nietzsche. Later they talk in the evening, and a kind letter from the Stuttgart theater manager offers permission for some musicians.

Friday, March 29:

Good Friday; warm, soft air. Six years ago we went on a walk to the Grütli, R. and I. “It was a solemn impression,” R. says, remembering it.

Lulu is unwell. I put her to bed and stay with her while R. goes out with Prof. N. Conversation in the evening. The manager of the Stuttgart theater writes nicely to R. and gives his consent for some musicians.
