Diary Entry of March 28, 1872

Overview

R. muses about asking Bismarck for an audience after the Vienna concert, a thought that revives his long-standing frustration at Bismarck’s indifference. Professor Nietzsche arrives at midday, bringing Lulu’s two francs from her father and reporting that Hans is well and content in Basel. In the evening he reads the fifth lecture, and she writes to her father.
