Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Emil Heckel

January 28, 1875 · Bayreuth

Subject

Written on a circular to the performers

Overview

Written on the last page of the circular to the performers: 8 to 10 marks a day should cover the expenses of the less well-off singers, and care will be taken to find good, cheap lodgings for the troupe.

Letter

Here's what you wished. 8 to 10 marks per day etc. will probably be ample for all the expenses of the less flourishing: so — tell the people they may bargain for that. Every care will be taken to provide good and cheap accommodation for my little troop.

Good night, dear friend!

R. Wagner.
