Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Emil Heckel

January 24, 1872 · Lucerne

Overview

Seeing that Heckel could not leave at once, Wagner is going to Berlin himself to confer with his architect. He asks Heckel to call in the Patronat money collected at Mannheim and send it to the banker Cohn at Dessau.

Letter

Esteemed Friend,

I saw that you were not prepared, and am starting to-day myself — to Berlin (if particulars are necessary — for a conference with my architect).

Meanwhile, however, please note my pressing request to call in the Patronat-moneys amassed by you, and send the proceeds to Cohn at Dessau. Further news ere long. Berlin address: Kammergerichtsreferendar Karl von Gersdorff, Alexanderstr. 121, 1 Tr. rechts.

With hearty greetings.
Your

R. Wagner.
