A secret telegram inviting Nietzsche to the last rehearsal of the birthday surprise for Cosima, the "Tribschen Idyll" later known as the Siegfried Idyll, while staging his arrival at Tribschen for later in the day.
If you would care to hear the last rehearsal meet me at the Hotel du Lac at three o'clock, but announce your arrival ostentatiously for five.
