Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Cosima Wagner

Undated · Bad Ems

Overview

In a brief note, Wagner tells Cosima that strong measures are needed: he is keen to use her fortune to meet the festival deficit, promising to make it good, and to declare that he wants nothing more to do with the Munich Court Theatre.

Letter

My little wife,

I believe we must use strong medicine, and am very keen
1. To use your fortune - (It will be made good!!)
2. To declare that I want nothing more to do with the Munich Court Theatre.
