Overview

Wagner complains that the Haase compromise promises next to nothing and that furnishing his house must wait.

Letter

I see that we always live in spe and never arrive in rem. If the Haase Compromise is to bring only 50 thalers per performance as after-payments, the expected results from this lawsuit dwindle to a minimum.

What I liked most was that you hold out to me the hope of a settlement—or clarification—about those two main items by the end of the year. I find it difficult to postpone the equipment of my house until then.
