Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to G. A. Bonfantini

Undated · Bayreuth

Overview

Too busy to continue his autobiography, Wagner asks Bonfantini to print the remaining pages and send the whole in eighteen copies, with his account.

Letter

Most esteemed Sir!

I am and shall remain so extremely busy that I cannot think of continuing our work at the present time.

Would you be so kind as to have the last 11 pages printed, also, in addition to the other already finished sheets, and the whole sent to me in 18 copies, as agreed upon; we might have the last page, in connection with what is to follow, reset later.

At the same time kindly send an accounting of what I owe and pardon the inconvenience I have caused you.

Respectfully yours,
Richard Wagner
