Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to G. A. Bonfantini

August 22, 1872 · Bayreuth

Overview

Wagner tells his printer that the manuscript of My Life is exhausted for the present, and proposes to end the third volume near the 300th page.

Letter

Dear Monsieur Bonfantini,

For the moment we are at the end of the manuscript, and I cannot fix the exact time when the work will be taken up again. Let us now see whether the remaining manuscript gives you enough to make up a third volume; I would like to finish it here, which seems very convenient if we get almost to the 300th page.

Your very devoted
Richard Wagner
