Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Ernst Benedikt Kietz

October 20, 1859 · Paris

Overview

Sending Mr. Cliche's receipts from his new apartment in the rue Newton, Wagner tells Kietz not to hurry about repaying him.

Letter

Here, dear Kietz, are the receipts of Herr Cliche for your reassurance. I can't tell you more because I am much fatigued. I have just moved into my new apartment.

I hope you won't really have it on your mind to pay me back. So don't hurry. As soon as I can manage it, I'll send you a little money.

Goodbye!

Your
R. W.
