Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Ernst Benedikt Kietz

February 24, 1852 · Zurich

Overview

Wagner asks Kietz to deliver at once a letter to the physician Lindemann containing a medical consultation, declaring that he will write no more books but, with Lindemann's help, the complete Siegfried.

Letter

Dear Kietz,

Give the enclosed letter to your friend Lindemann at once. It contains a consultation which he has granted me through Müller.

Write to me the same time he does! You owe me an answer especially as regards my books!

Books I shall write no longer but—if Lindemann helps me—soon—the complete Siegfried!

Goodbye, my dear fellow!

Your
Richard
