Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of November 2, 1871

Overview

Wagner works while Cosima manages children and letters, and Bologna telegraphs news of Lohengrin's tremendous success. Bratfisch writes warmly, Wagner handles Cosima's small money matters, and he jokes that he would trade the Bologna triumph for someone finishing Götterdämmerung for him. Countess Bassenheim visits, and Kathchen's long-awaited arrival ends the evening.
