Content

Tuesday, October 5:

A good night for R., who is glad to be in Venice. Very busy arranging the house while R. and the children are sight-seeing. He is not entirely well toward evening and gives up an intended visit to the theater.

(Two dreams of R.'s fall within these days, though I no longer know exactly when. In one of them he was supposed to marry his first wife, and he found it all the more embarrassing in that he had a relationship with me at the time. In the other he was playing something he had just composed while I was sleeping, and in my sleep I made signs of disapproval, "Ah! Ah!", and he himself thought his composition affected.)
