Diary Entry of August 23, 1880
The night was manageable, and breakfast was taken with everyone together. I finalized the villa rental and its initial arrangements, then R. came there later with the children. Their amazement at the suddenly created new home and his satisfaction with what I had done made the move feel secure.
Monday, August 23:
Tolerable night and breakfast all together. I settle the rental terms and the preliminary arrangements to be made in the villa. In the afternoon R. visits me there with the children, who are astonished and delighted with their new world, so swiftly arisen. R. is satisfied with everything I have done.
