Work for R. and for me. Another visit from Prof. Bernays. Much about Goethe and Schiller, many of the Xenien. In the evening R. plays us the Prelude! ... Baron Loen asks permission to produce Rheingold.

Work continued for both of them, punctuated by another visit from Bernays and talk of Goethe, Schiller, and the Xenien. In the evening R. played the Prelude again, and there was also a request from Baron Loen to stage Rheingold.
