Overview

R. began his treatment in a pleasant place under good weather, and the pair enjoyed a walk in the woods. Yet the day was shadowed by letters about ongoing difficulties and by the discovery that shoddy work in the house would require major repairs.

Thursday, June 7:

R. begins his cure. The place is pretty and the weather good. Walk in the woods; R. writes to Herr Feustel.

Besides our great worry there is trouble with the house, on which substantial repairs have become necessary owing to the negligent work of the Bayreuth people.
