Diary Entry of November 11, 1876
Spent the morning on the Palatine and in the Forum with the children, in weather so fine it felt almost blissful. The afternoon in the Villa Borghese seemed dreamlike, and later calls brought an unexpected reunion with Princess Wittgenstein after nearly sixteen years, along with the Helbigs.
Saturday, November 11:
To the Palatine, splendid weather, inspected the whole Forum with the children, blissful morning; in the afternoon wandered through the Villa Borghese as if in a rapturous dream.
After that, calls; saw Princess Wittgenstein again for the first time in about 16 years; met the Helbigs, etc.
