Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of September 3, 1876

Overview

Only R. Liechtenstein, Malwida, and Gersdorff remained, so the day was spent quietly over lunch and in the evening with a much smaller circle. R.'s meeting with the management committee eased concerns about money, and a repeat performance next year now seemed likely.

Sunday, September 3:

Only R. Liechtenstein, Malwida, and Gersdorff left; lunch and evening with them. In the morning R. has a conference with the management committee; the finances do not seem to be as bad as expected, and a repetition next year is practically certain.
