Overview

While R. was rehearsing, she visited the Court Library, but the guide only got in the way of seeing much of anything. After afternoon calls, the evening was spent worrying over how the guests are to enter in the second act, with fresh irritation at the clumsy carelessness shown when R.’s works are mounted on major stages.

Tuesday, November 9:

Visit to the Court Library while R. is at rehearsal; unfortunately the guide is rather more of a hindrance than a help. Visits in the afternoon.

In the evening, discussion about the entrance of the guests in the second act. It is impossible to understand why R.’s works are performed so clumsily and carelessly on the largest stages.

(R. drove to Schönbrunn with the children, showed them the menagerie.)
