Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of May 28, 1875

Overview

Nothing much improved, and even Unger was still not showing the kind of eagerness they had hoped for. The one bright part of the day was the children, especially Fidi, and the evening ended quietly with a bit of Lichtenberg read aloud.

Content

Friday, May 28:

Still no change in the situation; even Herr Unger, little regarded by anybody, shows no excessive eagerness and is not yet here. Only pleasure: the children, Fidi particularly. I give the little ones French lessons.

In the evening great stillness; at the end of it I read R. something from Lichtenberg.
