Diary Entry of February 14, 1875

Overview

With no word from Richter, the Meiningen Quartet instead comes in the afternoon, and they prove to be warm and agreeable company. In the evening they enjoy Beethoven’s quartets in E-flat major and F minor after R. has carefully explained his intended tempos and nuances.
