Diary Entry of January 21, 1875
Feustel’s birthday was marked by a quiet visit from me, Eva, and Fidi with our congratulations and presents, while R. stayed home, slightly improved but still too fatigued to go along. The mild foehn wind weighed on him badly, and the day ended with a performance of Samarow’s "Die Komerfahrt der Epigonen."
Thursday, January 21:
Feustel’s birthday. R. a little better, but he does not go to Feustel’s, feeling very tired; I, along with Eva and Fidi, carry our good wishes and gifts. Foehn weather, which has a very bad effect on R.
