Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of January 11, 1875

Overview

R. is laid low by a cold and spends much of the day resting in bed, while the children skate before and after lunch. The evening stays quiet, and after they examine Tausig’s Tristan transcriptions, they are disappointed by how weak they seem.

Monday, January 11:

R. unwell, goes to bed around noon; he has a cold.

Yesterday evening we went through Tausig’s transcriptions of Tristan and were astonished to find them not very good. The children were on the ice before and after lunch. R. was still not well; we read nothing in the evening, and he went to bed early.
