Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of December 20, 1874

Overview

Sadness lingers from sleep into waking, and even church offers little relief, though the children and the little night companion soften the loneliness. R.’s telegrams finally brighten the day, especially after I send him my photograph and a poem through his servant and learn how pleased he was.
