Thursday, March 12:
R. had a bad night and complains bitterly to the doctor when he comes to visit him; all the same, he works. Richter writes, happy about the news he has received: he will manage to get himself freed.
Frau v. Meyendorff has chosen me to be her confidante, but how can I give advice between her and my father? I cannot even tell her that I knew about my father’s intentions long ago. Continuing unpleasantnesses regarding the fountain.
In the evening R. goes to the Thursday gathering at Councilor Dittmar’s house; I pass the time conversing with the two big girls and seeking in a joking way to implant the good seed in them. May God give His blessing!
