On November 20, R. leaves with Feustel, and the house feels empty and bleak. The writer spends the day writing letters and turns in the evening to Malwida and Koppen’s history of Buddhism. The reading about Brahma leaves a deep impression, and the day ends with another letter to R.
Thursday, November 20:
R. off at 11 in the morning with Herr Feustel and wife. God’s blessing on him! The house seems empty and dreary.
At 1 o’clock wrote to R. Spent the evening with Malwida, started on Koppen’s History of Buddhism. Deeply impressed, definition of Brahma! In the evening wrote to R.
