Thursday, October 16:

R.’s bad foot worries me greatly. We discuss my possible journey to Pest, a great disruption in our lives. But R. is working regularly.

Visit to the new house. The conservatory has been stocked, and the fine green plants give me much pleasure, though, as with all property, the sight makes me melancholy. A word from Baron Thon, mentioning by name the banker Haymann in Regensburg, who is willing to make a loan against security. I do not much trust Israelite aid.

In the evening read the story of Wieland the Smith in the Vilkina Saga. A few untranslatable words omitted. We hear worrisome things about the King!
