Diary Entry of May 16, 1869
On Whitsunday, Loldi improves enough for the family to eat with the children. Prince Wallerstein visits and gives Cosima instructive views of Bavaria under three kings, while she studies geography with Lusch and Richard plays from Euryanthe. The day ends with late embroidery as birthday preparations continue.
Sunday, May 16:
Whitsunday. Loldi somewhat better; we eat with the children. Afterward a visit from old Prince Wallerstein, who tells me many instructive things about Bavaria under three kings.
In the morning studied geography with Lusch. In the evening R. plays parts of Euryanthe. Stayed up late in order to get on with my embroidery.
