Diary Entry of February 18, 1872
Spring seems to arrive with Eva, bringing splendid weather and a little relief for her. Wagner continues working, they manage a drive after lunch, and then receive an unexpected visit from Professor Nietzsche, who hears about Wagner's journey. The entry closes with a letter from Clemens Brockhaus about her conversion.
Sunday, February 18:
Eva has brought us the spring; the weather is splendid; I feel somewhat better. R. works; after lunch we are able to go for a drive.
Returning home, we are surprised by a visit from Prof. Nietzsche, to whom R. then gives an account of his journey.
