Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of November 22, 1871

Overview

The Signale prints Wagner's reply to the false report about his supposed youthful recantations, while Cosima writes, teaches, and walks with him. The money-order complication persists, and Wagner cables for copyists for the King's score. He also promises Heckel he will conduct in Mannheim at the end of December, presenting it to Cosima as a birthday symphony.
