Overview

As life’s circle draws ever tighter: all blood towards the heart. To die in love. The limbs grow pale. Life drops from me. — What love is a man can discover only at my age: the grave of life. — For me the world lives on for as long as the brain obeys the heart. How weary I am! —

Christ, after his death, wandering the earth for another 40 days — appearing now and then to his own, joining them in the familiar way. The most moving touch in the founding of a religion. —
