Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Emil Heckel

Undated · Bayreuth

Overview

Written on the back of the circular to the Festival artists that Heckel had requested: Wagner can allow eight or ten marks a day for singers without means, and promises his company good and cheap accommodation.

Letter

Well, here is the desired (circular). We shall be able to manage eight or ten marks a day for those without means; therefore—say to the singers that they can make this condition.

Great care will be taken that my company receives good and cheap accommodations. Good evening, dear friend.

Yours,

Richard Wagner.
