I had a beautiful sweet dream of you last night, directly after falling asleep. May it betoken you good — all the good I wish you, cherished Friend, with all my heart!
It affected me much, midst all the stress and misery of the present, that a dream should still remind me of your birthday in good time. That was fine, and I observe that Dream at least still cares for me.
Fervent greeting!
Richard Wagner.
