Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Wesendonck family

Undated · Zurich

Overview

A note about arrangements for the theatre: if the Wesendoncks send Heinrich of the Hotel Baur, they can collect Minna too, otherwise they must make do with Wagner alone; he adds, apparently apropos of the English-language Othello, that he too knows English.

Letter

If the Familie Wesendonck will give Heinrich of the Hotel Baur that errand, they can obtain my wife from the theatre too; otherwise they must put up with my single self.

By the way, I, too, know English.
