Wagner's Letters

January 3, 1872 · Lucerne

Overview

Wagner begs Franz Schott to send the manuscript of his arrangement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony promised to Cosima, and reports that he is beginning the last act of the Nibelungs.

So please have pity on us both!—

Otherwise all goes very well with us. I am just beginning the last act of my huge Nibelung work. [...]
