Most Beloved Friend!
After your earlier statement of the days convenient to you, I counted on the 14th of this month for the meeting of the society, and I have made further engagements in Berlin for the time following; accordingly, I had arranged my journey to Dresden for the 12th, I was counting on hearing an opera on the 13th or 14th, and — as already mentioned — also having our meeting on the 14th (after the opera), because I must travel on to Berlin on the 15th.
Is this not to be observed after all? — Then it would make Dresden well-nigh out of the question for me, this time.
Forgive me for plaguing you so much; but, God knows, I am also plagued enough.
