Richard Wagner to Wilhelm Fischer

Undated · Zurich

Overview

A short note to his "mysteriously silent friend": Wagner has come to an agreement with Dingelstedt for a Munich Tannhäuser, so the score and six copies of the Guide should be sent, and X. should assert his rights over the libretti.

Letter

Mysteriously Silent Friend, and Brother in the Faith!

† † †

See at once about Tannhäuser being sent to Munich: I have come to an agreement with Dingelstedt. Give them also six copies of the pamphlet.

X. ought at once to assert his rights concerning the books of words.

Concerning sketches and scenarium, I have referred them to you.

O you wicked fellow!!

Salute Heine!

Your

R. W.
