Dear Franz and dear Anna!
We are going to stay away longer. Soon I'll write you more exactly how we want everything taken care of: don't dig any more in the gardens than is necessary, so that nothing may be destroyed. The lawn we'll leave for next year.
For today I merely wanted to ask you please to send me quickly the things listed on the note. You list everything as used furniture, dishes and clothing. Address it to Verena Weidmann, Villa Triebschen near Lucerne, Switzerland.
I'll ask Herr Mathieu to be kind enough to help you.
As I said, within the next few days I'll let you know more exactly how we want everything done. Just keep being faithful and economical; it won't hurt you. If Anna didn't have the children, I would have both of you come here for the summer. Well, may God keep you in good health!
Affectionately,
Richard Wagner
