Wagner's Letters

Richard Wagner to Ernst Benedikt Kietz

May 1, 1841 · Bellevue

Overview

Newly settled at Meudon outside Paris, Wagner corrects his directions: Kietz should take a railway ticket to Bellevue rather than Meudon, and pass the word on to Lehrs.

Letter

Dear Kietzchen!

If you come to see me, you must not take the railway ticket to Meudon but to Bellevue; I was mistaken in my first directions. There are, as I have now learned, two stations, Bellevue and Meudon, at the same price, but the one at Bellevue is quite near us. Goodbye, don't despond, come on Sunday and tell Lehrs what I have just told you in this letter.
