Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of October 31, 1871

Overview

Cosima parts sadly from Marie Muchanoff and returns to news of political change in Austria. In the evening Wagner reads his powerful Auber essay aloud. A small financial phrasing in Cosima's letter to Hans wounds him, as he suspects she has counted money lent to him as lost.
