Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of February 28, 1871

Overview

Fidi's thrush keeps both child and mother awake through the night, forcing the doctor to be called. Richard completes his letter to the King and reads it to Cosima, who finds it magnificent and hopes Ludwig can grasp it. A walk in mild air and evening Carlyle offer the only calm around the child's illness.
