Left the “Bayerischer Hof” early; R. very irritated by the huge Munich railroad station, as almost always when there. In Nuremberg breakfast in the restaurant, and then great joy in the two churches, Sebaldus and Lorenz, warm satisfaction that our country, too, can offer such architectural delight. Nice impression of the countryside between Nuremberg and Bayreuth, woods and meadows. Constant waving as we approach; at the station a large crowd, our friends, the Grosses! Wahnfried at last, Jouk., Wolz. there. Reunion with the dogs, entrance into the salon, R. thanks me for our home, birds twittering - for me it is like coming into a haven of rest!
